Earth Day 🌎 Community Clean Up

Let’s Keep Royal Palm and Our Planet Beautiful!

Ready to take the first step in protecting our planet? There’s no better way to contribute to a cleaner and healthier community than by volunteering to tackle litter and trash in our own neighborhood and alleys.

🗑️Community “Cans Be Beautiful” Project - April 23

Let’s put some paint and creativity into play this Earth Day! The goal of the Royal Palm “Community Cans Be Beautiful” project is to reduce litter in the Park. Research has shown that residents are more likely to put their trash in cans they have decorated, as well as encourage others to keep the neighborhood beautiful.

We are inviting resident artists ages 10+ to volunteer their time and express themselves through colorful painting of park trash cans! Sign up today>

Royal Palm Neighborhood will provide the painting supplies and stencils. The project will be from 7 AM - 10 AM on Saturday, April 23.

🌎Together Let’s Take Action - April 23

Royal Palm Neighborhood will provide gloves and trash bags for resident pick up on Saturday, April 23 from 7 AM - 10 AM at Royal Palm Park. First come, first serve while supplies last. Residents who pick up supplies will be automatically entered for their chance to win a Whitfill Nursery or Sprouts gift card!

  1. Designate an area in the Royal Palm neighborhood you want to clean up. Your alley could be a great place to start! You could also choose Royal Palm Park or your favorite street block.

  2. Gather your family, neighbors and set a clean up time on Saturday, April 23 (or early on Earth Day - April 22). Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty!

  3. Assemble your supplies including trash grabbers, bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, first aid kit, etc.

  4. Make sure you have a location to dispose of all the waste. Sort the waste into trash or recyclables.

  5. Go clean up and have fun!

  6. 🎁 📷 Don’t forget to take pictures during your cleanup and post them to the Royal Palm Facebook page for another chance to win a Whitfill Nursery or Sprouts gift card! #GreatGlobalCleanup #TrashTag #Plogging
